Climet CI-95A – Our Most Popular Microbial Air Sampler for Aseptic Environments
The Climet CI-95A is a portable microbial air sampler designed for use in GMP-classified environments and cleanrooms where the highest level of precision is required. As the most popular model in the CI-9xA series, it offers both flexibility and reliability for continuous and sequential sampling applications.
The CI-95A meets the requirements of ISO 14698 and 21 CFR Part 11, as well as EU GMP Annex 1, PIC/S and FDA cGMP. It is also designed in accordance with additional technical specifications from ISO 21501-4, making it an excellent solution for microbial monitoring in regulated environments.
Flexible Flow Rates for Different Applications
The instrument supports three different flow rate options: 25 LPM, 1 CFM and 100 LPM. The lower flow rates (25 LPM and 1 CFM) are particularly suitable for continuous sampling over extended periods. Testing has demonstrated that continuous sampling for up to three hours is possible using specially filled agar (40 mL) in a standard 90 mm Petri dish. Independent validation is recommended.
The CI-95A can be used with both 90 mm Petri dishes and RODAC plates, making it compatible with established procedures in most laboratory environments.
Reliability and Long Service Life
Each unit is manufactured from stainless steel and rigorously tested for shock and vibration according to the same high standards applied to Climet particle counters. The series has been in production since 2004 and has never been reported as being outside tolerance during annual calibration – demonstrating an exceptional level of reliability.
This stability significantly reduces the need for deviation investigations, saving both time and resources. A single deviation investigation in a GMP environment can typically cost between SEK 80,000 and SEK 120,000 – often more than the purchase price of the instrument itself.
High Measurement Precision and Efficiency
The Climet CI-9xA series is validated for both physical and biological collection efficiency. Repeatability studies demonstrate an almost perfectly linear measurement response, confirming the instrument’s stability and reliability in real-time monitoring applications.
VHP Compatible and Easy to Maintain
The CI-95A can withstand regular VHP decontamination without affecting the warranty, making it ideal for aseptic environments where contamination control is critical.
Compliance and Certification
The CI-95A is CE marked and complies with applicable requirements and standards including ISO 14698-1, ISO 21501-4, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP. It is one of the few microbial air samplers designed to exceed both the requirements and recommendations of ISO 14698.
