Asynt’s electrochemical cells in borosilicate glass are designed for flexible and controlled electrochemical applications in chemistry, materials science and chemical engineering. Their construction makes them suitable for applications including catalysis studies, sensor development, battery research and fundamental inorganic chemistry, where high chemical resistance and reproducible experimental conditions are essential.

The systems can be manufactured in a wide range of sizes, volumes and configurations to meet specific laboratory requirements. Electrochemical cells can be designed as either simple or complex configurations, with or without temperature-control jackets, depending on the application and process requirements.

For advanced experiments, the cells can be equipped with glass frits for salt bridges, flanges for mounting membranes between cell compartments and quartz windows for photoelectrochemical (PEC) applications. A variety of electrode port options are available, with threaded solutions such as GL14 fittings with caps, seals and septa providing secure and flexible installation of probes and electrodes.

The electrochemical cells can also be customised to accommodate different types of working electrodes, including platinum electrodes, providing a high degree of flexibility for research and process development.
