Description
Flow Cell for Ultrasonic Processing
Flow cells are used for continuous ultrasonic processing of liquids where larger sample volumes or continuous processes require efficient and reproducible treatment. Unlike traditional batch processing, the sample continuously passes through the flow cell and is exposed to ultrasonic energy during the process.
The system is particularly suitable for homogenization, emulsification, dispersion, particle size reduction, cell lysis, and other applications where continuous processing provides higher productivity and more consistent results.
The sample liquid is pumped through the flow cell, passing through the active area of the ultrasonic probe before leaving the system through the outlet. Process intensity can be optimized by adjusting the flow rate, ultrasonic power, and exposure time.
