Test Sieve Calibration Samples from Endecotts – Accuracy You Can Trust

To ensure that your test sieves deliver accurate and reliable results, Endecotts offers high-precision calibration samples. The samples consist of soda-lime glass microspheres and are carefully manufactured to enable calibration with an accuracy of approximately ±1 micron.

The calibration method is both quick and efficient. By measuring the percentage of microspheres that pass through the sieve and comparing the result with the supplied calibration graph, you can determine the sieve’s actual mean aperture size.

How It Works:

1. Select a sample size that matches the sieve’s nominal aperture size
2. Place the sample in the sieve and shake for 2 minutes
3. Weigh the amount that passes through the sieve
4. Compare the result with the supplied calibration graph
5. Read off the sieve’s actual mean aperture size

Specifications:

– Calibration material: Soda-lime glass microspheres
– Size range: 3.35 mm–20 µm
– Accuracy: ±1 µm
– Method: Sieving, weighing, and graphical comparison

Key Benefits:

– Highly accurate calibration of test sieves
– Quick and easy to use – the entire process takes only a few minutes
– Covers a wide range of sieve sizes
– Provides more measurement points than traditional methods
– Supplied with a calibration graph for easy interpretation

All calibration samples meet international standards and help ensure that your test sieves maintain their accuracy over time.

Aperture Measurement & Certification – Precision You Can Rely On

Endecotts uses advanced optical measuring systems to ensure that every test sieve meets the highest standards. The measurement process is fully automated, eliminating operator influence and ensuring accurate and reliable results.

All sieves are inspected in accordance with ISO 3310-1 & 2 and ASTM E11. Measurement data is documented, and each sieve is assigned a unique serial number for full traceability. Relevant certificates are supplied to simplify quality control and compliance.

Certified Calibration with International Traceability

Endecotts’ measuring equipment is maintained under its ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System (BSI Certificate No. FM 24761).

– For mesh sizes ≤10 mm, calibration is performed using reference glass objects calibrated by PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) in Germany
– For mesh sizes >10 mm, calibration is performed by a UK-accredited laboratory
– All calibration is traceable to national and international reference standards

Certificates & Documentation

Each sieve is supplied as standard with a Certificate of Compliance confirming conformity with ISO 3310-1 or ISO 3310-2. The certificate includes the sieve’s unique serial number for easy identification.

Additional certificates are available upon request:

– Inspection Certificate – specifies the number of apertures measured and the average aperture size in both horizontal and vertical directions
– Calibration Certificate – includes wire diameter, standard deviation, and measurement data in accordance with applicable standards

All certificates include details of the measuring equipment used and a declaration of traceability.

Re-certification Services

Regular use can cause sieve wear, which may affect analysis results. Regular re-certification is therefore recommended to ensure that the sieve continues to meet its original specifications and applicable standards.

All sieves are CE-marked and certified according to international quality and safety requirements.
