PFT Powder Flow Tester – Advanced Powder Flow Analysis
The AMETEK Brookfield PFT Powder Flow Tester is a versatile instrument designed for accurate and reproducible analysis of powder flow behaviour. It is ideal for formulation, powder characterisation, quality control and process optimisation in industries where reliable powder handling is essential.
The PFT provides valuable information about how powders behave during storage, handling and processing. By analysing flow properties, manufacturers can identify potential problems such as arching, rat-holing and inconsistent discharge from hoppers and storage vessels.
A complete Flow Function test can be performed in approximately 25 minutes, making the PFT suitable for both research and routine QA/QC applications.
The instrument is controlled using the included Powder Flow Pro software, which automates testing, data collection, analysis and reporting. Results can be displayed graphically and test data can also be exported to Excel for further analysis.
