Description
Sonochemical Probe
The sonochemical probe is designed for sonochemical applications where ultrasound is used to initiate, accelerate, or enhance chemical reactions. The probe is used together with a Sonics sonochemistry adapter and reaction vessel to enable efficient energy transfer directly into the reaction medium.
Sonochemistry is based on acoustic cavitation, where the formation and collapse of microscopic bubbles generate localized areas of extremely high temperature and pressure. This can improve reaction rates, increase yields, and facilitate both homogeneous and heterogeneous chemical processes.
The sonochemical probe is designed for optimal positioning within the reaction vessel, ensuring uniform treatment during experiments and process development.
