Description
Standard Probes 13–25 mm for Ultrasonic Processing
Standard probes are designed for efficient ultrasonic processing of a wide range of sample volumes. They transfer ultrasonic energy directly into the sample, creating intense cavitation for applications such as homogenisation, dispersion, emulsification, cell disruption and sample preparation.
The probes are available in diameters of 13 mm, 19 mm and 25 mm, allowing the appropriate probe size to be selected according to sample volume and application. Smaller probe diameters concentrate the ultrasonic energy into a smaller area and provide higher intensity, while larger probes distribute the energy over a larger area and are suitable for processing larger sample volumes.
The probes are manufactured from high-quality Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, providing excellent acoustic properties, mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion and cavitation erosion.
Depending on the probe configuration, replaceable tips can be used to extend the service life of the probe. When the tip becomes worn through prolonged cavitation, it can be replaced without replacing the entire probe.
