Description
Brookfield PVS (Pressure Viscosity System) is a specialized rheometer designed to perform viscosity measurements under pressurized and temperature-controlled conditions. It is particularly suitable for applications where the boiling point of the material may affect test results – such as in oil, energy, chemical production, and other industries involving high temperatures and pressures.
The PVS is compact, portable, and built to deliver reliable performance in both laboratory and field environments. With a system capable of handling temperatures up to 260 °C and pressures up to 1000 psi, it provides complete control over the sample environment. This makes it an invaluable tool for the development and validation of materials in demanding applications.
Key features:
Pressurized test chamber – safe measurements even when materials tend to boil at elevated temperatures
Temperature control up to 260 °C via integrated system or optional PID-controlled thermal bath
Handles operating pressures up to 1000 psi – with built-in safety valve for secure operation
Constructed from Hastelloy C – resistant to aggressive chemicals and corrosive environments
Rotating outer cylinder design provides high shear rates up to 1700 s⁻¹
RTD temperature sensor delivers accurate readings directly inside the sample chamber
Includes RheoVision software for advanced analysis and automated test control
Compatible with multiple geometries, including triple annulus for low-viscosity materials
Supplied with a practical carrying case for field applications
Included with delivery:
Complete PVS rheometer with pressurized viscosity cell
Hastelloy sample cups and spindles
RheoVision software for Windows
Carrying case and optional temperature control units
CE Certification
Brookfield PVS is CE certified and complies with EU requirements regarding safety, environmental protection, and health standards. The CE marking confirms that the product has been tested and approved for safe and reliable use within the European Union.
