RW-1150 High-Speed Vial Washer

The RW-1150 is a high-speed automatic vial washer designed for demanding pharmaceutical and biotech applications. It supports vial sizes from 2 to 500 mL (with change parts) and can process up to 400 vials per minute (based on 2 mL vials), making it ideal for high-throughput sterile operations.

The RW-1150 is powered by an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC with a user-friendly PanelView 1000+ HMI interface. A secure four-level dual-password menu guides the operator through machine operations. Any faults are clearly displayed to assist in rapid troubleshooting.

The washer features thirteen water and air stations, providing around 20 seconds of exposure time at 30 indexes per minute. Cleaning time is automatically adjusted by vial size via PLC control.

A recycled WFI system includes a 30-liter stainless steel tank (AISI-316L) with level sensors and an internal heating element to maintain optimal temperature. The tank fills automatically during the machine’s flushing cycle.

The self-draining piping system is sloped 10 mm per meter to eliminate stagnant water after shutdown. There are no dead legs in the piping layout. Valves are controlled by the PLC to ensure complete system drainage after each batch.

Vials are loaded onto a rotating infeed table, which adjusts its speed based on the vial format. Fallen vials are blocked from entering the system, and unstable vials such as 3 mL formats are automatically removed. The ergonomic infeed flip table reduces wrist strain, speeds up plastic removal, and minimizes the chance of vial tipping.
